We had the kitchen and plumbing all torn apart Thursday, and they didn't show up Friday.
I didn't get a call until I called them. I then waited for answers, nothing until I called them again. I was told they would come Monday in the morning... At noon on Monday, I called and was told they wouldn't be out until 2pm. When the crew showed up, they did a fantastic job!!
That being said, I will use them again, but I will be very careful to ensure they don't have a scheduling issue again.
It's frustrating having the whole kitchen down for 5 days over a weekend, much longer than we anticipated.
The install crew and materials, top notch...
Office scheduling and follow up was not top notch.
Everyone has a bed day, it costed us a bad weekend.
They chipped almost $200 off our invoice for the inconvenience

Why Granite Remains a Strong Countertop Choice
Granite remains one of the most dependable surface choices because it brings natural stone strength, rich movement, and long-term value into one finished surface. Every slab has its own mineral pattern, depth, and texture, which gives the final installation a more permanent and high-quality look than many manufactured materials. Beyond appearance, granite performs well in active spaces because it can handle regular use, surface pressure, and daily cleaning when it is properly sealed and maintained. Many homeowners comparing different countertop options continue to choose granite for its durability and natural appearance.
For property owners, builders, remodelers, and design professionals, granite is also a practical choice because it works with many design directions without feeling dated. It can support clean modern layouts, classic interiors, bold statement designs, and simple neutral finishes. As an experienced countertops supplier, Badger Granite focuses on helping clients select, fabricate, and install surfaces that deliver both visual appeal and long-term performance.
How Badger Granite Helps You Plan the Project
A successful granite project starts before fabrication begins. Badger Granite helps you review your design goals, surface needs, stone options, layout details, finish choices, edge profiles, and installation requirements so the full project is clear from the beginning.
Material Review
We help you compare granite options based on color movement, pattern style, surface finish, and the overall look you want to achieve. Clients can also explore different granite countertop colors to better match the style and layout of their space.
Layout Discussion
Our team reviews the project layout, measurements, cutout needs, overhang details, and support requirements before moving forward.
Finish and Edge Selection
We guide you through surface finish and edge profile choices so the final countertop matches the design style and daily function of the space. Different granite countertop edges can also change the overall appearance and character of the finished installation.
Project Scope Review
Before fabrication starts, we confirm important project details so templating, cutting, finishing, and installation are handled with accuracy. Many property owners also review our granite countertops cost guide to better understand planning and investment considerations before starting the project.
Custom Templating for Accurate Fit
Custom templating is one of the most important steps in a granite countertop project because granite is cut from natural stone and must be shaped correctly before installation. Even small measurement errors can affect fit, seam placement, edge alignment, appliance openings, sink cutouts, and wall contact points. Badger Granite uses the templating stage to capture the exact dimensions and layout conditions needed for accurate fabrication.
During this step, our team reviews the full installation area, checks angles and surface support, notes cutout locations, and confirms any special design details before the granite is fabricated. This helps reduce installation problems and gives the fabricators clear information to cut, polish, and prepare the stone properly. Proper templating also helps the finished countertop sit correctly, look cleaner, and perform better after installation.
Professional Fabrication and Edge Detailing
After templating is complete, the granite moves into fabrication, where the slab is cut, shaped, polished, and prepared according to the approved measurements. This stage requires careful handling because granite is a dense natural stone, and every cut must account for layout, seams, edges, cutouts, and final placement. Badger Granite focuses on clean fabrication work so the final surface has accurate dimensions, proper detailing, and a finished look that supports the full design.
Edge Detailing Options
- Eased Edge: A clean, simple edge with slightly softened corners. This is a practical choice for a modern and minimal look.
- Beveled Edge: A sharp angled edge that adds definition without making the design too heavy. It works well when you want a more structured finish.
- Bullnose Edge: A fully rounded edge that creates a softer appearance and reduces sharp corners. It gives the countertop a classic finished look.
- Half Bullnose Edge: A rounded top edge with a flatter lower edge. This profile adds softness while keeping the surface looking clean and balanced.
- Ogee Edge: A more decorative edge with a curved profile. It adds detail and works well when the design needs a more refined stone finish.
- Mitered Edge: A thicker-looking edge created by joining stone pieces at an angle. This is useful when the project calls for a bold, substantial countertop appearance.
Careful Countertop Installation
Granite countertop installation requires careful placement because each fabricated piece is heavy, rigid, and cut to exact measurements. During installation, the team must check cabinet or base support, confirm leveling, align seams, place cutouts correctly, and make sure the stone sits firmly without stress points. Proper handling matters because granite needs stable support to protect the stone and maintain a clean finished result.
Badger Granite installs each granite countertop with attention to fit, seam placement, edge alignment, and final surface position. Once the stone is set, the team reviews the installation details, checks the finish, and confirms that the countertop is properly placed for long-term use. This final step brings together the planning, templating, fabrication, and detailing work completed earlier in the project.
Granite Maintenance and Long-Term Care
Granite is a strong natural stone, but proper maintenance helps protect its beauty, surface finish, and long-term performance. With regular cleaning, proper sealing when needed, and smart daily care, granite can stay attractive and functional for many years. Badger Granite can also guide you on simple care practices after installation so you know how to protect your new surface. Following proper granite cleaning and maintenance practices can also help preserve the finish and overall condition of the surface over time.
Maintenance and Care Tips
- Clean With Mild Products: Use mild soap and water for regular cleaning. Harsh cleaners can affect the seal and dull the surface over time.
- Wipe Spills Quickly: Granite is durable, but spills should still be cleaned quickly, especially liquids that may affect the sealer.
- Use Proper Sealing: Granite should be sealed when needed to help protect the surface from staining and moisture absorption.
- Avoid Heavy Impact: Granite is strong, but sharp impact on edges or corners can cause chips. Use care when placing heavy objects near exposed edges.
- Use Cutting Boards: Granite can resist scratches well, but cutting boards help protect both the stone finish and your knives.
- Protect From Extreme Heat Changes: Granite handles heat better than many surfaces, but trivets or pads are still a smart choice for long-term surface care.
